Reach back to Colonial times and sample teas from that age.
Tea was a staple in colonial America. It became a symbol of British oppression and colonial protest. Refusal to drink tea, and events such as the Boston Tea Party were acts of resistance that led to our country’s founding.
Therapy Gardens will guide us through the Boston Tea Party, including the famous ships involved, the Sons of Liberty and “taxation without representation.”
This program is sponsored by the Swansea Cultural Council, a local agency, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
