The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum commemorates the anniversary of the American Revolution with an outdoor concert series of period and revolutionary music, The Revolution in Concert, held in the Museum’s sunken garden. Evelyn Harris and Yasmeen Williams, powerhouse vocalists and founding members of Sweet Honey In The Rock, with pianist Ailey Verdelle, comprise the 13th Horace Clarence Boyer Memorial Gospel Concert to perform stirring interpretations of the African-American song canon including spirituals, freedom songs, jazz, pop, rock ‘n’ roll, gospel and blues.
