Celebrate New England’s revolutionary heritage as historic Longfellow’s Wayside Inn hosts a Colonial Faire and Muster of Fife & Drums. From military drills to contradancing, cooking and blacksmithing to 18th century children’s games, engage with living history reenactors demonstrating life in MA circa 1775. The air will be filled with the music that helped inspire the birth of a nation, as the grand parade steps off at 12:00. This will be followed by performances by 25 corps from throughout the northeast, featuring the US Army’s “Old Guard” Fife & Drum Corps, the presidential ceremonial honor guard from Washington, DC. There will also be craft vendors, as well as a food court and beer garden.
