In celebration of America 250, the Stoneham Historical Society and Museum in partnership with the Stoneham Historical Commission invites you to “Picnic on the Common” on Saturday July 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. So pack a picnic basket or pick up something to go from your favorite local Stoneham eatery, grab a blanket and come on down, Rain or Shine, to the Stoneham Town Common. There will be games and crafts for the kids, a historical reenactor or 2, at noon time, a public reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by a patriotic singalong and more. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be a fun day for the entire family.
