In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, Ballet Magnificat! brings Anchored: The Pilgrim Story to Massachusetts. Beautifully choreographed, Anchored inspires audiences today with its portrayal of the courage and faith of the Pilgrims, their perilous crossing, and their friendship which developed with Native Americans. The Pilgrims’ Mayflower Compact was a governing document that directly influenced the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Their legacy of religious freedom, individual responsibility, and equality of all people helped prepare the way for America’s independence.
