A new specialty license plate is exploding in popularity in Massachusetts and could soon take the top crown for registrations in the state. The Massachusetts 250 Years of Independence plate, a blue plate featuring the year “1776” and the number “250,” only became available in May yet, as of Nov. 7, has 31,526 active registrations.
