The Wayside was home to the leader of Concord’s Minutemen, Samuel Whitney, and later home to famed authors Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Margaret Sidney.
The house is owned by the National Park Service as part of Minute Man National Historical Park, and is open to the public on Wednesdays in July and August.
