The Pierce House

One of the few remaining colonial-era wooden houses in Boston, this Dorchester house was home to Colonel Samuel Pierce, a Revolutionary war veteran who participated in the fortification of Dorchester Heights that led to the British army’s evacuation from Boston.

The house is owned by Historic New England, who offer tours that are free to Boston residents.
