The Jason Russell House

During the British retreat from Concord on April 19, 1775, the house of Arlington militiaman Jason Russell was bloodiest site anywhere along the Concord Road. At least twenty-one militiamen died there, including Russell, as British troops chased them inside and a fight ensued. There are still bullet holes in the house from the close quarters fighting.

The house is owned and operated by the Arlington Historical Society, which offers guided tours year-round.
