The Hancock-Clarke House

The childhood home of John Hancock, both Hancock and Samuel Adams were staying in the house on the eve of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, when Paul Revere awoke them with his famous nighttime ride. The house is owned by the Lexington Historical Society and is open to the public for tours from April through October. The museum not only exhibits the history of Hancock, but also his family’s slaves who lived there.
