Museums on the Green – Falmouth Historical Society

The mission of the Falmouth Historical Society, through the Museums on the Green, is to provide educational programs and to preserve, share and celebrate the history and culture of the Cape Cod town of Falmouth.

Open June 6 for the 2025 season. June through October we will be open Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., & Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. We offer free admission which includes house tours of our 1790 Dr. Wicks House, exhibits in 3 buildings, and free historical walking tours. Our upcoming exhibit will open June 6th, "RESISTANCE & RESILIENCE: The Road to Revolution in Falmouth." Additional exhibits include - "Better Together: Falmouth Families at Sea 1852-1866," and "Falmouth Changing with the Times," plus a portrait gallery and another new exhibit opening in late June in our Whaling Wives Gift Shop.

Falmouth Historical Society & Museums is located on a beautiful two acre campus featuring two 18th-century houses, a 19th century barn, and Cultural Center. We offer rotating exhibits, year-round events, walking tours, house tours, & rentals.
