Museum of Old Newbury (Newburyport)

Originally founded in 1877, the Museum of Old Newbury operates from the 1808 Cushing House, Newburyport’s only National Historic Landmark. Through tours, public programs, and archival access, the museum brings the history of Newburyport, West Newbury, Newbury, and Byfield, including the stories and artifacts of the American Revolution, to life for visitors from near and far.

Regular season tours run from May 29 to October 12, 2025. Come enjoy a walk through two floors of this 1808 brick Federal-style home, full of objects and stories of the Road to Revolution in Old Newbury. Thursday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm.
