IPW: Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism Shared MA 250 Commemoration Plans

On Tuesday, the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) hosted a press conference at US Travel’s IPW International Travel Show in Los Angeles, California. The press conference highlighted the upcoming celebration of Massachusetts 250 (MA250) as well as the state’s historic, cultural, creative, and natural destinations and the economic impact tourism has on the Massachusetts economy. This was the first time MOTT has hosted a press conference at IPW.

Information about the state’s upcoming MA 250 campaign was featured in nearly 120 appointments with members of the international travel trade and media. Nearly 6,000 attendees, including over 600 media participated in the 2024 IPW trade show.

Massachusetts will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution across the state with exhibits, tours, trails, and reenactments over the next three years.

“As states across the country are planning to commemorate 250 years of America’s independence in 2026, Massachusetts will put its rich history throughout the state on full display, amplifying stories of independence and revolution that make Massachusetts remarkable to this day,” said Kate Fox, Executive Director of MOTT. “We invite visitors from around the globe to join us for a commemoration of our past and celebration of the innovations that continue to make Massachusetts remarkable to this day.”
