19th Amendment (Women’s Suffrage) Special Anniversary Tour

Join Hub Town Tours for a special celebration of the anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote in 1920. We will explore the captivating stories of Bostonians that followed in the footsteps of Revolutionary women like Abigail Adams and Phillis Wheatley, and assembled the Women’s Suffrage Movement. This 2.5-hour walking tour begins in Boston’s Public Garden, and travels through the Back Bay neighborhood, visiting landmarks such as Copley Square, the Boston Public Library, and the Boston Women’s Memorial. Walk in the footsteps of prolific local activists that met Mrs. Adams’s challenge to “Remember the Ladies,” and gain new appreciation for Boston’s historic role in the advancement of women’s rights.
