100th Hingham Historic House Tour

Tickets are now on sale for the Hingham Historical Society’s 100th Historic House Tour, taking place Sunday, September 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Discover historic Hingham, Massachusetts—just a 30-minute ferry or commuter-rail ride from Boston—for a special day celebrating a century of house tours and America’s 250th anniversary.

This year’s tour features eight beautiful private homes and six iconic public buildings spanning centuries of Hingham history and architecture. The tour is self-guided: once you have your ticket, you may begin at any featured property and explore the sites in whatever order and at whatever pace you choose during tour hours. The private homes are grouped in three areas around town, so visitors will need a car or bicycle to travel between them. Visitors arriving from Boston by ferry or train should plan to bring a bicycle or arrange local transportation in advance.

Your ticket also includes admission to a special MA250 exhibition and Tea Room at the Hingham Heritage Museum. After purchasing tickets online, please pick them up at the museum at 34 Main Street beginning Tuesday, September 22, or on the day of the tour. Ticket pickup is available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through tour day. Each ticket includes a complete list and map of featured properties, along with parking information.
