Historian Tim Abbott will discuss the American Revolution as experienced by residents of Berkshire County, including highlights of the service and sacrifice of its soldiers in the militia, Massachusetts provincial and state forces, and the Continental Army. He will also cover how the war affected the homefront, the indigenous people of the region, and the minority of the population who tried to remain neutral or sided with the Crown.
