Revolutionary Springfield 250: Preparing Knox’s Noble Train

The public is invited to a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, held on the historic grounds of the Springfield Armory and Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) campus at 1 Armory Square, Springfield, MA. The event is in partnership with Massachusetts Grand Lodge of Masons, TradesUp, the Eric Sloane Museum, the Massachusetts National Guard and the Daughters of the Revolution, Mercy Warren chapter and Henry Knox’s Artillery Regiment.
Event Highlights Include:
• Close up view of U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter and howitzer displays from the Massachusetts Army National Guard 101st Field Artillery Battalion.
• Help build a Revolutionary-era sledge like Henry Knox used to haul his artillery from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston.
• Be the first to view a new historical exhibit on the Continental Arsenal in Springfield.
• See Colonial-era blacksmithing, cooking, historic firearms and artillery demonstrations.
• Take a historic walking tour and other ranger-led experiences through the Armory Museum and Grounds.
