Tidy the Town for the 250th
Join the Arlington Tourism and Economic Development Committee and the community as we prepare the Town for the Semiquincentennial.
This moving battle down current day Massachusetts Avenue will commemorate the beginning of America’s fight for Independence. Join the Arlington Tourism and Economic Development Committee to help clean up the reenactment route and area of litter on Saturday April 5, at 10 a.m. Meet at the Russell Common Municipal lot at the northwestern corner by Mystic and Chestnut streets.
If available, please bring your own work/garden gloves, trash bag and water bottle. A plastic bucket and grabber are also useful. Invite a friend or neighbor to join you or make this a family event in this community activity. Wear comfortable shoes as walking will be involved and bright clothing makes one more visible and safer.
The cleanup is planned to start at 10 a.m. -12 Noon or join later groups from 12 noon – 2 p.m. If heavy rain, then rain date is following Saturday 4/12 same times.
