Revolutionary Quincy Women

This special tour looks at the years leading up to and during the American Revolution through the eyes and words of the women of the Quincy family. Through their letters and diaries, learn how the war affected the day-to-day lives of the family of Josiah and Ann Quincy, including their daughters Hannah, Betsy, and Nancy, and daughter-in-law Abigail. The high social standing of the Quincy family and their many connections meant these women interacted with well-known figures like John and Abigail Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and the Marquis de Lafayette. Discover how this historic time affected the legacy that future generations of Quincy women would shape and protect.
