SUMMARY:Bunker Hill Revealed: Archaeological Investigation of the 1775 Redoubt
DESCRIPTION:Join the City of Boston Archaeology and American Veterans Archaeological Recovery teams as they excavate a portion of the redoubt built on the night of June 16\, 1775\, triggering the start of the Battle of Bunker Hill. \nExcavations should reach the bottom of the trench dug that evening by the end of the first week. Visitors to the 250th events on the Monument park site will have an opportunity to see the remains of the actual fortifications. \nBackfilling of the trench will commence June 18th or 19th- so don’t miss it! \nHosts: The National Parks of Boston\, City of Boston Archaeology
