SUMMARY:Myth and Memory: Stories of the American Revolution
DESCRIPTION:𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺: 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 brings together material from Historic New England’s vast permanent collection of objects and archival materials to explore the multifaceted history of the American Revolution as it played out in New England. These objects tell the stories of everyday people whose lives were linked by the shared experience of revolution. This exhibition engages with the memories and mythologies embedded in this collection\, calling attention to how we remember the American Revolution and reckon with its legacy. 𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺 spotlights the deeply personal experiences of individuals\, families\, and communities caught up in extraordinary circumstances\, organized around the themes of Resistance\, Loyalty\, Liberty\, and Memory. This intimacy invites audiences to consider what it was like to live through these historic events and to contribute in small and not-so-small ways to the shaping of a new nation.

SUMMARY:Red Sox to Display Replica of the Declaration of Independence at Fenway Park
DESCRIPTION:RED SOX TO DISPLAY REPLICA OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AT FENWAY PARK \nFramed Archival Print on Display in the Volvo Royal Rooters Club Today\, June 14 through July 4 as Part of the Nation’s 250th Anniversary Celebration \nThe Boston Red Sox today announced that a framed replica of the Declaration of Independence\, generously gifted to the Red Sox by David Rubenstein\, Co-founder of the Carlyle Group and principal owner of the Baltimore Orioles\, will be on public display at Fenway Park beginning today\, Sunday\, June 14 through Independence Day\, Friday\, July 4\, as part of the Nation’s 250th Anniversary Celebration. \nThe replica will be on display in a secure\, climate-controlled setting in the Volvo Royal Rooters Club at Fenway Park. Fans can view it in two ways: \nGate B Fan Services Booth: All fans attending a home game are encouraged to stop by the Gate B Fan Services Booth\, where a Red Sox Ambassador will escort them to the Volvo Royal Rooters Club for a brief viewing. This service is available from the third inning through the conclusion of each home game. \nFenway Park Tours: The replica will be a featured stop on all Fenway Park Tours throughout the display period. The one-hour guided walking tour takes fans through more than a century of Red Sox history\, from the Green Monster and Pesky’s Pole to the Red Sox Hall of Fame and includes a visit to the Volvo Royal Rooters Club. Public tours depart at the top of each hour\, seven days a week\, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last tour departs three hours before first pitch on game days). The 15-minute “Fenway in Fifteen” tour is available on game days and weekends from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets and information are available at redsox.com/tours. Advance booking is recommended\, particularly on game days and weekends. Mastercard is the preferred payment method of the Boston Red Sox. \nAbout the Replica \nThe replica is a 2026 archival pigment print based on the copper-plate engraving created by William J. Stone in 1823. Stone was commissioned by then-Secretary of State John Quincy Adams to produce an exact facsimile of the original Declaration of Independence\, which had already begun to show signs of aging. Stone spent three years completing the copper-plate engraving\, and the 200 parchment copies printed from it in 1823 were distributed to the three surviving signers\, President Monroe\, Congress\, the Supreme Court\, and state and university libraries across the country. The prints made from Stone’s engraving are the versions of the Declaration most familiar to Americans today. \nThe replica was gifted to the Red Sox as part of an effort by noted philanthropist David M. Rubenstein to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and remind the public why we celebrate. The framed print is accompanied by a brass plaque reading: “Declaration of Independence Ratified on July 4\, 1776 – For the 250th Anniversary – An Archival Pigment Print\, 2026 of William J. Stone’s Engraving.”

SUMMARY:Opening Reception: “The Midnight Ride” by Rixy
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the new 2026 Dewey Square Mural with artists\, friends\, and community in downtown Boston! \nJoin artist Rixy and The Greenway on Saturday\, June 27 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM for an afternoon of family-friendly music\, art activities\, and food trucks to celebrate the opening of her new mural\, “The Midnight Ride\,” produced in partnership with Embrace and Everyone250. \nRixy’s practice in contemporary street art celebrates the surrealism found within intersectional feminism and cultural belonging. Building on Latinx-Caribbean and New England roots\, their world-building creates vibrant\, bold\, and radically imaginative third spaces between public and private walls\, depicted through stylized paintings\, sculptures\, murals\, and installations. \nThe 2026 Dewey Square Mural is supported in part by Massachusetts250\, the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism\, Meet Boston\, and Holland America. \nProject support for the Dewey Square Mural is generously provided by Meet Boston and The Lynch Foundation.

At a time when the language of the founding feels both distant and urgently present\, Declarations offers a space to listen with fresh ears\, through music\, for clarity\, complexity\, and perhaps even common ground.
