SUMMARY:Houses of the Revolution: A Historic House Tour in Falmouth
DESCRIPTION:Houses of the Revolution: A Historic House Tour in Falmouth\nSunday\, September 7th | 12:00–4:00 PM. Ticket pickup begins at 11am. \nStep inside history. \nJoin the Falmouth Historical Society for a rare opportunity to explore some of the most storied private homes in Falmouth—ranging from elegant mansions to classic capes—all with ties to the Revolutionary War era. From hidden architectural details to family histories woven into the fabric of early America\, this self-guided tour invites you to discover how Falmouth residents lived during the founding days of our nation. \nThis event benefits the Fix Wicks Campaign\, a major restoration effort to preserve the Dr. Francis Wicks House—home of a Revolutionary War veteran and centerpiece of the Society’s museum campus. As a small nonprofit committed to keeping our museum free and open to the public\, your participation directly supports our mission and helps us offer free children’s programming year-round. \nHow it Works:\nOn the day of the tour\, pick up your tickets at the Falmouth Museums on the Green – Cultural Center at 55 Palmer Avenue. There\, you’ll receive a keepsake booklet with a detailed map\, driving instructions\, and information on each historic home. Then\, set off at your own pace to visit the featured properties in any order you choose. \nWhether you’re a history lover\, architecture enthusiast\, or simply looking for fresh inspiration for your own home\, this tour promises a memorable afternoon of discovery. \nTicket Information:\nAdvance Tickets:\n$30 Museum Members | $45 Non-Members\nDay-of Tickets:\n$35 Museum Members | $50 Non-Members \nTour participants get a 15% discount on food at Eli’s Tavern at the Coonamessett Inn on the day of the tour!
