Two hundred-fifty new citizen candidates will be sworn in and receive a Passport to their National Parks. New citizens will be invited to plant the first flags of the Flag Garden. DESCRIPTION:Lexington Strings will present a recital of music contemporary to the April 19\, 1775 skirmish on the Lexington Battle Green. The performance will take place at Estabrook Auditorium in the Cary Memorial Building. \nThe concert program includes:\n• Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto in G major for Solo Violin\, Strings and Continuo\, Op. 3 “L’Estro Armonico”\, No. 3\, RV 310 (1711)\n• Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major\, K. 218 (1775)\n• Ludwig van Beethoven: Sonata No. 3 in Eb major for Violin and Piano\, Op. 12\, No. 3 (1797-1798)\n• Johann Sebastian Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G major for Violin\, Two Recorders\, Strings and Continuo\, BWV 1049 (1721) \nBased in Lexington\, Massachusetts since 1984\, Lexington Strings are musicians Letitia Hom\, Yukiko Ueno Egozy\, Michael Valdez and Vida Baterina Hom. \nMs. Hom plays a violin originally commissioned by and made for Roman Totenberg in 1982. Created by luthier Guy Rabut in New York City\, the violin is patterned after Mr. Totenberg’s 1736 Giuseppe “del Gesù” Guarneri violin made in Cremona\, Italy. \nThis program is made possible by the generous donors to the Cary Library Foundation.
