DESCRIPTION:Back Bay to the Berkshires: Celebrating 250 Years of Art in Massachusetts looks at some of the artists and artistic innovations associated with the Bay State through their relationship with book illustration\, printing\, and publishing. This display is held in conjunction with MA250 (a celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and the start of the American Revolution) and highlights the revolutionary spirit upon which the state was founded. \nThis display\, free and open to the public\, is drawn from the Clark Art Institute library’s collections and curated by library staff. \nAn Island Garden\, Boston\, Houghton Mifflin\, 1894. Celia Thaxter\, author\, Childe Hassam (born Dorchester\, Massachusetts)\, illustrator \nOpen 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. \nAdmission is always free for members\, students with ID. And children (under 12). General admission is $20.
