DESCRIPTION:Lafayette’s final stop in Massachusetts in 1824 was in the Towne of Sturbridge\, where he was greeted by a martial band\, the Town’s artillery company\, and thousands of civilians. The commemorative event will take place at 6:00 pm on the Sturbridge common on the exact ground where Lafayette stopped. \n  \nFarewell Banquet to be held at the Publick House in Sturbridge at 7:30 pm.
