DESCRIPTION:Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with an extraordinary evening of music at one of Boston’s most historic landmarks. \nOn October 4\, 2026\, internationally acclaimed violinist Siqing Lu joins pianist Derek Wang at Faneuil Hall for East Meets West: From Mozart and Beethoven to The Butterfly Lovers\, a special recital bringing together masterpieces of Western classical music and one of China’s most beloved musical works. \nThe program begins with Mozart’s elegant Violin Sonata No. 10 in B-flat Major\, K. 378\, followed by Beethoven’s dramatic Violin Sonata No. 7 in C Minor\, Op. 30\, No. 2. The second half features a complete performance of The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto\, the celebrated Chinese work inspired by the legendary story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. \nSiqing Lu is the first Asian violinist to win First Prize at Italy’s prestigious Paganini International Violin Competition.
